The Umbria Workshop is a 3-day crash course in the art of taking great photographs, taught by professional photographer, Ron Baxter Smith. It is a chance to take a few days from your holiday and receive private lessons from a working professional.
Umbria is known as the "Green Heart of Italy" and using it as our base, the Workshop will take you on shooting excursions to some of Italy's treasures. We will explore hill towns, private villas and shoot in some of Italy's greatest Renaissance cities. Italy, after all, is considered to be the world's museum.
The Workshop is for anyone who loves photography. For a beginner, it is an opportunity to be taught by a working professional, someone who knows how to explain his craft simply and clearly. For the serious amateur, it offers an opportunity for new experiences and to have more complex questions answered. And if you are a professional, it gives access to equipment and locations one might otherwise not know or are closed to the public.
There are only 6 students per course making it a personal, intimate experience. Ron has always been an inspiration and willing teacher to his assistants and now he is prepared to teach a small group of people in a very special place, Umbria.
If you love photography and want to improve your skills, then The Umbria Workshop is perfect for you.
